GUIDELINES OF THE SHOW

LIMITS:    2 horses per exhibitor in performance classes.

3 horses per exhibitor in halter classes.

Open showers are limited to 50 horses per exhibitor total

Intermediate/Novice showers are limited to 20 horses per exhibitor total

The same horses and tack may not be used by two different showers.

NOVICE:  Novice showers are those who have never shown a model horse or have been showing less then 2 years.  Customized models must have been completed by the owner.  Please feel free to write the store for an information packet about model horse showing.

INTERMEDIATE:  One who has been showing for two years or more and/or has never shown in an Open Division of a model show before.  The judge and show staff reserve the right to move any shower into the Open division if they feel it is appropriate.  Customized models must have been completed by the owner.

OPEN:  OF or Customized – One who has been showing more than three years and/or has won more than two championships in any division of any live show.  Customized horses may have been created by another artist or by yourself.  NO CROSS ENTERING BETWEEN HALTER AND PERFORMANCE CLASSES.

HALTER CLASSES:  Halters are not required, but are allowed.  No props of any kind may be used except when showing china’s, where a piece of protective material may be placed under the model.  In that instance, the judge reserves the right to have the owner turn the model over to check the other side.  If you are showing an unusual breed of horse, you may provide no more then one 8x11 inch sheet of paper for documentation.

PERFORMANCE CLASSES:  Appropriate tack and props are required, use of dolls is optional.  A note explaining your entry is required in all performance classes, except pleasure classes.

Breed & Gender Designation:  Please be sure to list the breed of your model on the registration form.  Pony’s, Draft’s, and Warmblood’s must have an actual breed noted (i.e. Shetland, Clydesdale, Oldenburg).  If you are showing an unusual breed, please feel free to provide a description of the breed (a photo is also helpful).  This should be no larger than 8” x 11”.  Please also note if the horse is a stallion, gelding, mare, colt or filly.

ORIGINAL FINISH:  For this show will be understood as the original finish model straight out of the packaging.  Any mass produced or single produced factory model will fall into this category.  Examples are Breyer, Stone, Hartland, etc.  Models such as this with tack or props added for a class is still considered OF.

CUSTOMIZED:  For this show will be understood to be any type of model where anything was changed from the original or was not a factory horse.  For example, a model horse that has a blaze added or been fully remodeled/painted is considered custom (CM).

TIME LIMITS:  Three minutes between halter classes and approximately 5 minutes between performance classes at the judges discretion.  While ring 1 is being judged ring 2 is setting up and vice-versa.

TAGS:  This show participates in the Region 10 Tag system.  If you do not already have a Region 10 number and would like one, please contact Larry Nichols at lnichol2@nycap.rr.com or call him at:  518-793-2729.

Showers who are not part of the Region 10 tag system, and do not want to join, will have tags provided by the show holder.  Please be sure to have your complete show list to us by October 7th so we can make these up.  Tags will be provided the day of the show in your show packet.  Please attach to the leg of your model horse.  You will be given an exhibitor number and each model will have a number in your packet at the check in table the day of the show.

For Regional Tag members, please remember to send/bring a list (typed preferably) of your models and their tag numbers for our records.
